Bridge Rehabilitation Design for West Park Boulevard (C.R. 641) Bridge 4C-7 over Unnamed Tributary of Newton Creek
Haddon Township, Camden County, NJ
In 2012, W.J. Castle, P.E. & Associates, P.C. completed the design the replacement of Bridge 4C-7 for the Camden County Department of Public Works.
W. J. Castle performed an initial inspection of the existing concrete arch bridge structure and found that a large majority of the structure can be utilized in the design of the bridge replacement. The deteriorated end portions of the concrete arch bridge were removed and replaced. W.J. Castle obtained all permits for the project. Negligible changes to the existing substructure were made to minimize permit requirements. Bid plans and specifications for this project were developed in accordance with NJDOT and Camden County requirements.
In 2013 W.J. Castle performed the construction inspection of the rehabilitation of the bridge. All work was completed and the bridge opened for traffic in January 2014.
